This building was built in 1884 by Loo Chew Fan, who owned an import-export company called Kwong Lee & Company. In 1904 it was purchased by a Chinese community benevolent association, which owned the building for decades. This building is listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places.
This building was renovated into apartments in 2015-2016.

A Brief History of 536-544 Pandora Avenue
This building was built in 1884 by Loo Chew Fan, who owned an import-export company called Kwong Lee & Company.
In 1904 it was purchased by Lee Cheong and Mark Kin Cho for the Ning Young Yee Hing Tong, an organization formed by immigrants from Hoy Sun in China. This organization was renamed the Hoy Sun Ning Young Benevolent Association in 1914.
This building was renovated into apartments in 2015-2016.
536-544 Pandora Avenue is listed on the Canadian Register of Historic Places.
