Samuel Hoult Horton – Architect

Some Notable Architects and Builders In Victoria History

Samuel Hoult Horton (1864-1933) came to Victoria from the U.K. in 1911 and was elected President of the local chapter of the B.C. Society of Architects in 1912.

He left Victoria circa 1914-1915 to serve in the British Army during the First World War and remained in Britain after the war.

Here is a partial listing of his Victoria projects. His primary project in Victoria was the Belmont Building, 801-807 Government Street, built in 1912.
